Born in 1944 in Marseille, Jacques has been passionate about images since a very young age. At 12, he created his own lab in a cupboard in the family apartment. At 18, he knocked on the door of a famous press agency, DALMAS.
While continuing his electronics studies, which only half interested him, equipped with his Rolleiflex camera, he and photographer Daniel Angéli covered arrivals and departures of VIPs at Orly.
At 19, approached by the company "Paris Télévision", a satellite of the RTF, he abandoned photography in 1963 to devote himself to cinema and the nascent television industry where everything was yet to be invented.
With 50 years of experience in both film and television as a director of photography, his passion for still images has resurfaced. Possessing a curious and creative mind, he constantly explores new techniques.
